The Roadhouse Blues
The Roadhouse Blues
The Roadhouse Blues tells the remarkable true story of a harrowing event experienced by blind Writer and Co-Director Tony Sarre.
Abandoned in the harsh Australian outback in 1988, a then young Tony (19) was forced to fight for his very survival, all while coming to terms with going blind.
This gritty coming of age drama features stunning cinematography, a moving original score and a truly powerful performance by Noah D’Annunzio. As a blind filmmaker, Tony’s collaboration with Co-Director Lincoln MacKinnon, brings an incredibly unique and authentic approach to filmmaking.
Shot on the Arri Alexa LF Mini, paired with the wonderfully crisp Tokina Vista prime lenses, this rustic and important narrative was shot over a week in the remote regions of Western Australia (Payne's Find).
One day of studio filming was required, allowing for the use of Limitless Studios LED wall and Unreal Engine 5 to build a unique macro shot that was a challenge and a reward to get right (in camera).
A truly wonderful film to be a part of, supporting the directing pair of Tony Sarre and Lincoln Mackinnon was a privilege and a good deal of fun.
Watch out for further collaborations with these wonderful film makers in the not-too-distant future.
